GALA CEREMONY UPDATE: Booking Now Closed

There has been a phenomenal level of interest in and demand for places at this year's Northern Ireland Tourism Awards and we have now we have now stopped taking bookings.

Please Note: due to the layout of the seating plan within the Grand Opera House you are asked to advise us at the earliest opportunity if you are a wheeelchair user of if you have other access or dietary requirements.

Details of the award winners and of the commended and highly commended entrants will be available here following the event. Photographs and video clips will also be available in the days following the event.

The format of the NITA gala ceremony and presentation of awards this year is going to be completely different from previous events. 

In a departure from the “traditional” format the presentation ceremony will take place in the atmospheric surroundings of the Grand Opera House Belfast on Monday 21 May 2012.  This year’s event is not only about celebrating success and achievement but will combine with an opportunity for the sector to come together and showcase the unique culture and heritage that attracts our visitors.

While the evening will still be a 'black tie' event the structure of it will be totally new and innovative.  There'll be drinks, canapes and music on arrival before guests move into the main auditorium for the presentation ceremony. The event will be hosted by local kings of comedy, Grimes and McKee and the ceremony will showcase leading local exponents of circus song, dance, theatre and comedy.

Afterwards supper will be served and there will be an opportunity to network, meet friends and hopefully celebrate your success with your guests.  It all promises to be a great night out and a totally different experience.
